VENDOR SPOTLIGHT
As everyone knows, the wedding is one day but the memories last a lifetime! In order to preserve the best your memories, a good, no excellent, photographer is in order. During one of the recent weddings I was contracted to coordinate, I worked with masterful wedding photographer Damion Edwards, for the first time. Mr. Edwards photographic and professional styles were ever apparent throughout the day as he remained low key and unobtrusive. The end result is pictures with amazing detail, clarity and vivid colors. Mr. Edwards´ candid photos were truly candid and told the story of the wedding in its entirety. I enjoyed working with him on that magical night for my client and look forward to working with him in the future. ENGAGING THOUGHTS...
From the editor's desk
I’m guessing the "luckiest" day to get married this year is the first Saturday of this very month! This has to be the most auspicious 07.07.07, date on the calendar for all those brides to be. The cultural value place on marrying at the right time is not only apparent in western society. In Chinese culture, having two springs within one lunar year, as was the case in 2004--the year of the monkey--makes for a fruitful healthy marriage. There are so many traditions and superstitions surrounding weddings to add a measure of good luck.As a planner, I can certainly appreciate the desire of any bride to ensure that her wedding day has as little friction as possible. To that end, brides must also be aware of the preplanning and preparatory steps they must take to ensure a smooth delivery on their special day. Being clear about what you want when you sign with a vendor, following up with a vendor and maintaining your end of all obligations will contribute to the flawless execution ay dream wedding.
No matter, the superstition, the wedding and resulting marriage will be only as good as your effort. Place value on what you cherish. Invest the right amount of time and dedication and the return result will be more than you ever imagined!
Here's to your future!

POPPING THE QUESTION...
Answers to your most perplexing bridal dilemmasQ: I am having a destination wedding. Am I obligated to find entertainment activities for the guests in the days prior to the wedding?
A: There is no set rule for entertaining guests during the so called "down" times prior to the wedding and reception for a destination wedding. However, many destination locations offer add-ons at additional fees as a way to entertain your guests. To keep costs down, you may want to take advantage of local free walking tours in historic destinations. In sunny tropical destinations, outdoor activities such as games and competitions are also popular favorites. You also want to be mindful that guests may also want their own free time to shops, visit sites and relax so remember to balance scheduled activities with individual desires. Whatever you do, remember to enjoy yourself, your wedding and your guests.
